H) Reading Comprehension : Read the passage and answer the questions.

The Sun is a ball of nuclear energy in the Milky Way. This star is so important to people on the Earth since it releases a great deal of heat and light, and gives life to plants, animals and man.

These days some people are trying to find out if we can use the Sun's abundant energy to supply electricity or at least to perform the function which electricity or other types of power usually perform. In India and Middle East solar cookers have been built with several curved mirrors reflecting the sun and focusing its heat on the cooking element. This apparatus can be used just like a gas or electric stove; it is more expensive to make but it does not need any fuel and so costs nothing to use. Another possibility of using solar energy is in house heating. The heat of the Sun can be collected during the day in tanks of water on the roof of a house, and the water can then be used to heat the house during the night by circulating it to radiators.

The Sun's energy can even make electricity. Communication satellites like Telstar and Early Bird have panels on them which absorb the heat of the Sun and convert it into electricity. Astronauts on the Apollo and Sky Lab mission depended greatly on this kind of electricity since it was impossible with fuel–driven generators because the fuel capacity of the spacecraft was small.

Certainly if the Sun or some other source of energy is not developed soon, we may not have enough fuel to give us electricity in the 21st century.
